Massive crowd at APC Northeast women rally

There was a massive crowd of supporters of the All Progressives  Congress(APC) in the Northeast when the women wing of the party’s campaign took place in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital on Saturday .


The wives of the APC Presidential candidate Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Mrs Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice presidential candidate Kashim Shettima graced the rally with wives of Speaker Femi Gbajabiamiala and Governers of Lagos and Cross Rivers.


Others were wives of Kogi, Gombe, Yobe and Plateau Governors, former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hon Khadija Ibrahim and others.


Addressing supporters at the rally ground at the Ramat Sqaure  Maiduguru, Mrs. Tinubu promised to empower youths and women if APC wins.


"We realised the women in the northeast need a lot of support. Hajiya Nana Shettina is doing a lot in charity works. We will work together to support our husbands for charity to our women and youth empowerment, job creation for our youths if our husnabds are elected as president and vice president," she declared. 


Tinubu said she was overwhelmed by the large turnout of youths and women at the rally, stressing the Northeast requires special attention. 


 


Shettima urged women and youths in the region to be united for the party's victory.


Borno Governor Babagana Zulum praised the leadership qualities of Sen. Tinubu and the passion she has shown in the plight of the people.


"We have noticed your passion, commitment and tenacity for the APC campaigns," the Governor said, assuring that APC will record resounding success in all elections next year.
