NNPP Candidate, Kwankwaso Visits Anambra State, Calls On Governor Soludo

The former Governor of Kano State and Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party, NNPP, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso has called on the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo. 


Alhaji Kwankwaso who was accompanied by some of his key officers including Engr. Buba Galadima, called on the Governor at his Lodge in Amawbia.


Alhaji Kwankwaso explained that they were in the state to open their offices and decided to show courtesy to the person at the helm of affairs of the state, expressing optimism that the visit will further reinforce the existing cordial  relationship between himself and Governor Soludo as well as the states of Kano and Anambra.


Alhaji Kwankwaso who explained that they have been able to take the NNPP structure round the federation, said that successive governments have failed the nation, noting that he only seeks to reverse the negative trend of insecurity, economic crises, division across party and religious lines, among others.


Recieving the delegation, Governor Soludo who commended Alhaji Kwankwaso's tenacity and belief in the country, described him as one with an exemplary public service history, which he described as the greatest philanthropy.


The Governor explained that Anambra and indeed the South East region pride themselves as being republicans, which entails freedom to canvass for votes in the region without intimidation, reiterating his position that people should be allowed to canvass for votes and allow people make their choices.


The Governor added that as an itinerant people, Ndị Igbo cannot afford to be an intolerant tribe, stressing that people need to start looking beyond the election wherein the hardwork of building a better Nation rests.


Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barrister JPC Anaeto, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr. Collins Nwabunwanne, his Information counterpart, Sir Paul Nwosu and that of Special Duties Counterparts, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, among others, were also present during the visit.
