Governor David Umahi, CON of Ebonyi State on Friday, January 6, 2023, had a unique party with the students of the newly established David Umahi University of Health Sciences, Uburu.
The Governor while expressing excitement in seeing the students of the institution declared a reward system for students with the highest CGPA. "Every year, I will be holding this type of get-together with you people and the person with the highest Cumulative grade point average, CGPA will be given One Million Naira.
"We will have the honour board, and the best students' names will be published on the board.
In a remark, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Jesse Uneke revealed that the school admitted and had its maiden matriculation with 53 students in the 2020/2021 academic year and has at present admitted 651 students in the 2021/2022 academic year.
While one of the students made a portrait of the Governor, the students' leadership praised the Governor for having them, gifting them, and pray God to prosper him and keep him in good health.
The event came to its climax with new year gifts of rappers and cash from the Governor to all students that attended the event.
