Palmpay Jobs - Business Development Manager_ International Transfers & Remittances

The role holder will be responsible for the Business Development of the International Transfers and Remittances business for PalmPay Limited.


This position will be in charge of the Business engagement with Partners and Financial Institutions for International Transfers and remittances, develop strategies for growth and stability of the service with duties such as market research, recommending upgrades when necessary.


Ultimately, the role holder will be directing the executive team on the best processes to attain set goals.

Key Tasks:

  • Drive Business engagement with partners to derive strategic partnerships for International Transfers and remittances
  • Identifying viable business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies.
  • The ultimate success of the International Transfer business as well as remittances
  • Manage International Transfer and Remittance products portfolio.
  • Understand the competitive, environment and recommend plans and strategy to meet overall business objectives and optimize risk and return in Cross Border (International) Transfers and Remittance Business.
  • Generate new business opportunities by performing market research to identify customer needs/trends and opportunities.
  • Assess market competition leveraging Industry data to competitors' products across offerings, process, customer experience and portfolio quality.
  • Negotiation of commercials for both International Transfers and remittances with Partners to support the goal of optimizing profit for the Business.
  • Ensure the International Transfer and Remittance business are aligned to the business objectives and desired customer & employee experience, and contribute to increasing market share, share of wallet, customer retention, and product & customer profitability

Professional & Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in a Business Development, Remittances and cross border transfers/ payments
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Proven experience as in Business Development or similar leadership role.
  • Sound Knowledge in building organizational strategy.
  • Ability to conduct analysis and research..
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership and organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving attitude.
