Job
Title: Officer - Manager - EBU Brand and Communications
Reports To: Senior
Manager - Sales Enablement and
Communication
Division: Enterprise Business
Mission:
- To
provide professional marketing communications planning inputs to the
creation and maintenance of the MTN Nigeria Enterprise Business strategy
and plan that will deliver shareholder value.
- To plan
MTN Enterprise Business marketing communications within the framework of
an agreed strategy, meeting operational targets for revenues,
profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Description:
- Review
market and internal conditions and develop marketing communications
strategies and plans for enterprise business products and services that
fall within the "master strategy" for MTN Nigeria.
- Develop
marketing communications plans for profitability and revenue targets as
agreed with the General Manager of Enterprise Marketing, organizing
required resources, monitoring, and periodically reporting progress on
plans.
- Routinely
track and monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial
action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Work with
other stakeholders (Product Development, Sales, and Client Services teams)
to craft effective product communications for enterprise business
propositions, products, and services, compatible with MTN Nigeria
processes.
- Facilitate
the development of a robust brand strategy for Enterprise Business.
- Develop a
baseline of Enterprise Business brand positioning across all target
segments and implement brand management programs and initiatives to
achieve the desired future state.
- Guide the
content development for campaigns that motivate the target audience to act
accordingly, facilitating high conversion rates of leads.
- Plan
advertising campaigns, promotions, and events, and evaluate the
effectiveness of all communications campaigns against agreed targets and
objectives.
- Develop a
compelling presentations to communicate complex ideas succinctly to a
diverse audience.
- Ensure
full compliance with telecommunications license provisions, sector
regulations, and competition laws.
- Report
and monitor marketing campaigns and events, and ensure that they are
within agreed budgets, and supported with appropriate communications.
- Ensure
full integration of quality management processes within all activities of
communications planning and full compliance with telecommunications
license provisions, sector regulations, and competition laws.
- Set
targets for marketing communications expenditure against revenues, based
on industry best practice, and monitor marketing communications
performance.
- Drive
planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN
transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity.
- Coach and
train the team to ensure understanding of the department's objectives and
goals, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their
training needs.
- Review
individual team members' performance and complete appraisals in accordance
with employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Education:
- A first
degree, preferably in the social sciences or marketing.
- A
graduate degree in marketing, an MBA, or other related fields.
- Certification
in the professional areas such as CIM, AMA, etc., is an added advantage.
- Fluent in
English.
Experience:
6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:
- Minimum
of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in
supervising/managing others.
- Experience
working in a medium to large organization.
- Experience
in Project Management, marketing analysis.
