At Gurugeeks, we relate our success directly to the strength of our management team. To continue operating at our high standards, we’re seeking an ambitious and energetic IT Business manager who is a born leader and experienced in both people and business management. 

This person should have experience in overseeing IT business operations as well as human resources, finance, and communications. You will be tasked to drive significant revenue growth whilst overseeing the entirety of the business operations.

Objectives of the role

· Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity.

· Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.

· Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality.

· Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.

· Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas.


· Oversee day to day operations of both the Technical, Business and Admin unit.

· Design strategy and set goals for growth.

· Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.

· Set policies and processes.

· Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.

· Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance.

· Prepare regular reports for upper management.

· Provide solutions to Technical and Operational issues.

· Account management of existing clients, identifying key clients and driving share of business with all product categories.

· Work with the team to develop and implement marketing campaigns and sales strategies to find new business opportunities and ensure the growth of the company’s customer base.

· Plan and prioritise sales calls and customer contact towards maximising sales and achieving agreed business objectives.

· Recruit and develop new partner relationships to drive business and accelerate the adoption of certain products within our client portfolio.

· Coordinate with internal resources (Marketing – Product management -Sales – Tech support – Ops) to optimise sale result.

· Respond to new business opportunities, mobilising a team with the necessary technical skills to lead the sale and facilitate the delivery of new IT services/consultancy engagements to clients.

· Ability to translate strategic business objectives into commercial proposals and communicating them to all levels of a client’s organisation.

· Negotiate agreements, and maintain a strong overall relationship with clients/new business.

· Work with the delivery and technical team to oversee the initiation of the client work, resolving any programme issues and building strong relationships within the client organisation.

· Identify opportunities to expand and extend Gurugeeks role within your existing client portfolio.

· Effective relationship skills, including the ability to resolve disputes and manage conflicting stakeholder priorities.

· Provide regular updates and revenue forecasts to the Management.

Qualifications & Experience

· 6-10 years' experience in a senior manager role and above in an IT services environment.

· Experience in planning and budgeting.

· Knowledge of IT business process and functions.

· Strong analytical ability

· Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.

· Relevant experience in IT sales, preferably in a channel sales role for a vendor or distributor.

· Relevant recent experience in business development or territory account management role in a company targeting professional IT channel.

· Proven record of demonstrable growth within new business and existing clients experience as an IT Business Development Manager.

· Proven success in managing a sales channel with project pipeline including administration and reporting.

· Dynamic and Entrepreneurial personality to develop relationship at different levels in channel partner organizations.

· Direct accountability for revenue and gross margin performance in a technology based-based consultancy or professional services business.

· Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and business relationship building skills.

· Ability to translate strategic business objectives into commercial proposals and communicating them to all levels of a client’s organisation.

Nice to Have

· Credible level of understanding of IT/Cloud Solutions

· Good understanding of how to implement successful IT programmes in an Agile environment.
