About the job

  • This role reports into the Group Head Learning & Development and is responsible for the design, development, implementation and management of targeted learning programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure adequate bridging of employee training gaps and satisfaction of internal customers with training programmes
  • Ensure timeliness of training plans and completion

Jobs to be done

  • Monitor established metrics to ensure Learning and Development (L&D) efforts and results are efficiently and effectively meeting the business needs of the organisation.
  • Communicate learning and development goals and objectives in support of the business strategy
  • Research and introduce new L&D techniques and tools to deliver quality training programs through various platforms
  • Identify training and development requirements by conducting needs analysis on organisation results, job requirements, operational problems, company plans and forecasts, and current training programs
  • Manage all Group L & D Projects and Initiatives and support Group Head L & D to develop a robust Management Development Program
  • Manage training resources, including in house trainers and training materials
  • Collaborate with line managers on the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant personal development plans for their staff; to evaluate agreed internally-delivered interventions and to ensure best use of the Group’s development budgets
  • Develop coaching and mentoring schemes to support staff development and the achievement of Personal Development Plans
  • Lead the development of a staff skills and knowledge database in order to maximise the diverse talents resident within the Group
  • Contribute to research, analysis and ideas to the development of the Group’s HR strategy in order to ensure that organisational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals

Requirements

  • First Degree in Business, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training and Development or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in organisational design including developing, facilitating and instructional design
  • Proven project management success with strong track record on-time, on-budget and to-specification delivery of projects and experience with sponsor and risk management

Skills And Knowledge

  • Knowledge of leadership/ management/ organisational development assessments, protocols, change management strategies and processes
  • Ability to conduct a needs analysis, design a complete developmental initiative including a communication and working plan
  • Outstanding organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and attention to detail
  • Ability to facilitate discussion with various size groups at all organisational levels
  • Ability to effectively communicate about learning and development opportunities to different stakeholders using latest tools and technology
