Man Arraigned for Alleged N18.5m Scam in Abuja
The Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Abuja Zonal Command, today March 8, 2023
arraigned Martin Chukwuma Agba on a one count charge before Justice C.E.
Nwecheonwu of the FCT High Court, Kuje.
The defendant pleaded
not guilty to the charge.
In view of his plea,
the prosecution counsel, A.U Ringim asked the court to remand the defendant and
fix a date for trial to commence.
Defence counsel, Femi
Ajede applied orally for the bail of his client but Justice Nwecheonwu told him
to file a formal application and remanded the defendant at Kuje Correctional
Centre.
The matter was adjourned till March 23, 2023.
