JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for managing the organization's relationship with regulatory authorities, overseeing the company's corporate affairs function, and developing stakeholder engagement strategies. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, providing strategic guidance to senior management, and managing the company's reputation.
- Develop and implement a stakeholder management and corporate affairs strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy.
- Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and recommend actions to address changes in regulations.
- Monitor and report on regulatory trends and changes that may impact the business.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective implementation of regulatory strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and understanding of requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to stakeholder engagement and management.
- Manage the product registration and approval process, including preparation and submission of regulatory submissions.
- Provide regular reports to management on regulatory activities.
- Manage the company's public relations, media relations, and internal communications activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and the media.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets for the regulatory affairs and corporate affairs functions.
- Ensure that budgets are aligned with business objectives.
- Provide input and feedback to regulatory agencies and industry associations on regulatory policies and guidance.
- Ensure that the company's branding and messaging are consistent across all channels.
- First degree in Law, Finance, or Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Possession of a post-graduate degree or an MBA is an advantage.
- Professional qualification from a recognized body.
- 9 -17 years’ experience with at least 5 years in Regulatory affairs.
- Regulatory experience in Fintech, Banking or Financial Services will be an advantage
