The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has carried out an unscheduled visit to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka.
The Commissioner who expressed displeasure over the attitude of two medical personnel that failed to discharge their duties at the Female Surgical Ward of the hospital, said that the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration will not tolerate indiscipline from anybody working under the State government.
He commended a male Nurse in Male Surgical Ward of the Hospital for rushing to the Female Ward to assist the patients that were neglected by the two medical officers.
Dr. Obidike urged the Hospital Management to ensure that they recognize and appreciate the Male Nurse for his passion and dedication to duty.
According to him, such visits provide him the opportunity to ascertain the commitment of Health workers in all the Anambra State owned hospitals.
For the Commissioner, this visit is in line with the vision of Governor Soludo in ensuring that Ndi Anambra enjoy quality, affordable and efficient quality healthcare delivery across the state.
